Animals aren't all that stupid; they don't whine about the weather. Everyone of them knows that, even if it sucks, it is what it is and no whining will make it any different.
They're also not so stupid to think they can control it.

Btw, I just translated some of subs that kinda were confusing... Apparently, the spirit tree in Lacroa lives on "Shinrabansho". If googled, you first come upon a site about a game or something produced by (no joke!) Bandai, but it's actually called... Shinrabansho Chocolate.
So of course I 'loled' for a good while before I got Shinrabansho translated to pure english. It means "God 羅 all creation".
I guess it all goes back to Zero's great great grandaddy, Knight Gundam, again. >;|
Along with that, the Spirit Fountain is the holy water of life that surrounds Lacroa, see my uploaded picture in scraps. The water carries Mana Crystals that flow through every corner of Lacroa, "keep all the souls to born and alive. Some are born as Knight Gundam. Some have become the spirits."
