Prepare for a rant now.
Okay, first off, entirely inspired off of episode 16, which I have dubbed to be the STUPIDEST episode in the Kirby anime, and some pent-up aggravation involving Meta Knight's unruly GODMODDING. Since a lot of you who look at my pictures never seen this episode, I'll explain quite briefly. It's called "The Fish Who Loved Me" (english dub is "A Fish Called Kine") so if the episode's title isn't enough of a forewarning... Basically, Kine the fish falls in love with Fumu (Tiff). And Fumu's just a little too soft to tell him that she'd never hook up with a fish, because he's a fish and she wants a majestic, handsome warrior with a brain to marry (*large arrow appears over Meta Knight* Haha, but he'd never go out with YOU, my ugly duckling~ Yet even during this waste of time in which a semblance of a plot is never even approached, Meta Knight, the Official Spearhead of Storyline (he is! Without him, it would be a series of random events, the end! :B), still makes an appearance. Why? Well, like always. He's there to point, say "Look, there's Fill In The Blank Kirby!" and go back home. Which, as you can imagine, AGGRAVATES ME TO NO END. But this episode takes the cake. Instead of having him do that like normal, the animators decided to try to make sense for once. Because, just having him appear on a rock in the middle of the ocean conveniently where the battle is taking place gets old. Right? So, new plan. Let's pretend Meta Knight has a cheap, poorly designed submarine that's really just a barrel. This. Because, hell, we know he builds things with his cronies. Just look at The Halbred. ............ On second thought, I can't see a connection between that tiny submarine and the crazy arsed Warship he launches in the final episodes to defeat Nightmare. T_T So, since Kirby, Fumu and Bun (Tiff and Tuff) need to use it, why not tag along? So they get there, and Fumu/Bun PILOT the thing. Meta Knight just hangs out in the back for the ride. Making comments about the King trying to destroy nature. HAHA Because he definitely gives a rat's ass about the environment. That's why during the Industrial Revolution, when DeDeDe's factory is destroying the flowers and rivers, he does NOTHING. That's why during the Whispy Wood's episode when DeDeDe successfully cuts down the entire forest and erects a golf course, he does NOTHING. Tourists defiling everything? What does he do? All together now- absolutely NOTHING! So because this is underwater nature, he suddenly HAS to care and get off his ass to come for the ride! 8D OH YES. BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE. Yes, now that they've got him into the episode, they need to find some way to keep him busy elsewhere so he doesn't have to take up any screen time. WHICH MAKES SENSE. (NO! NONONO, it DOESN'T!!) So thus what happens is what is picture above. DeDeDe blows up the submarine... and Meta Knight kinda disappears while Fumu and Bun are drowning. Yes. They're drowning. He's- poof- gone. .......... From 17:40 in the episode to 19:19. That's about 2 minutes. Just, poof, gone. And when he does appear, he's magically dry and appears on a rock in the middle of the ocean conveniently where the battle is taking place. So they didn't REALLY get around making him suddenly appear on rock, but now the question comes in, how the fucking hell did he get up to the top so fast from the bottom of the ocean and get perfectly dry in those two minutes? Well, I reason he's made of air and pixiedust. Why fucking not. And thus he says, "That is Tornado Kirby" and disappears from the rest of the episode entirely. Like usual. ............. NO, I THINK JUST STICKING TO THE ORIGINAL PLAN OF HAVING HIM APPEAR FOR 5 SECONDS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN IS FINE. I mean, you do it all the time ANYWAY. Why do we suddenly have to pretend to be seriously ridiculous? Oh. And, remember, Meta Knight can't be sucked up by Kirby, who can suck up large rocks and DeDeDe. No, that's because he's like a 'heavy weight' opponent that's special and not affected by Kirby's inhaling. ............. Oh, this series makes me cry. the end. |

My point exactly. T_T
I think he would've been even more significant if the plot had gone the way of the original Gaiden-- with him as an enemy. But like I said, he's the only one who has any vague clue of what's going on half the time- and with his random help just at the right time, he becomes a character not only shrouded in elusiveness, but a character in the very embodiment of a loop hole.
Look! I'm over here now! lol!

Animals aren't all that stupid; they don't whine about the weather. Everyone of them knows that, even if it sucks, it is what it is and no whining will make it any different.
They're also not so stupid to think they can control it.
I really liked that series, though exactly WHY I'll never know... *coughmetaknightcough*

The below statement is true.

Anyway, I haven't seen episode 16 because I just started watching the series, but what great observations you made. You've persuaded me to locate all of the annoying nonsense.

Yes, hello, hello. The Danube river culture really is a splendid thing, yes. ~Alucard
Yeah, annoying nonsense indeed~! XD But it's still fun. I enjoy the series-- even if it's completely illogical. X_X
